Spring Celebration

Spring is a time to celebrate nature. In my country Morocco, a city called Kelaa Megouna is referred as the valley of the roses. The town is famous of its pink Persian rose landscapes. El kelaa Megouna has a vast distilling plant. The rose capital also produces other goods made of water of rose such as hand and body soaps, oil, crème perfume and dried flowers that are popular among Moroccans and tourists. The annual Rose Festival boasts delicious food alongside traditional Berber local tribes singing, dancing and playing traditional musical instruments. The special things in this festival are the rose perfumed streets, Moroccan women wearing traditional head scarves decorated with bright colored velvety flowers, boys and girls wearing rose-garlands. Floral decorated floats. The purpose of the festival is for rose farmers to celebrate the year’s crops and to celebrate the beauty of nature and it is one of the most popular festivals in Morocco.

The Middle East revolutions

   

    The Middle East is facing a big change these days through the revolutions that are happening in many of its countries.
The first revolution has started in Tunisia as the police men attacked a poor street vendor, which make him made him burn himself using gas, this was his way to protest and he died, which made people feel bad and give them strength to protest.
This act became the catalyst for the Tunisian Revolution which led then the president Zine El Abidine Ben Ali to step down, then few days after that, the Egyptian people started their own revolution asking for freedom, democracy and a total change of the system. As a result, the Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak has stepped down.
Then many other countries such as Libya, Bahrain, Yemen and Algeria have started their own revolutions which made their governments accept many of their requests immediately.

China's leader Hu Jintao

i choosed the president of china, because he accomplished so many good things for his country. The reasons why i admire this leader are; The remarkable economic growth in China in the last 10 years have changed the landscape of China and the global economy, china now is the fastest growing economy. Therfore, the economic growth is not only important to China, it is also becoming increasingly important to the world. Chinese power has increased in economy, military..etc. So, Hu Jintao had a vision,charasma by motivating his people, he is directive by giving directions to others, intelligent.., all these leadership qualities made the leader of China one of the best leaders in the world on 2010, and by the way  he was born on December 21st 1942 in  Taizhou, Jiangsu, Jiangyan.

Short term goals and plans

                           
            I have been working for three years since i came to California, my short term goals were, first to get a job that can help pay all my daily life expenses, and the second was to go back to school  to improve my English skills for a better job opportunities. At this point, I am attending Canada College not just to improve my English, but to learn and explore the learning resources in order to work for a  long term plan which is achieving a career for a better futur life. Thanks to the technology of computers, studies now are easier and faster. however, life is very busy, because i have full time job which is the main obstacle that takes my time away from having enough time to do homework and try to learn more and practice more of what i learned at school. Moreover, the school expenses are such expensive, especialy  books and  classes fees.

Learning resources

        I have used the learning center and the library so far, i used the computers to do homework, the printer  

to print it using the card payment. It was really nice to be there and see all the students busy working in     

something, the most thing that i liked and, it is new for me is that everything now has to be on computer which 

is really interesting because it saves the paper waste and, makes it easy to understand and learn so many 

things faster. I still did not use the TBA hours workshop but, i am willing to very soon.
